Insurance & Payments

Accepted Payments

I accept payment via cash, debit or credit card, HSA or FSA card at each session.

Insurance and Payment

Like most specialty providers, I do not participate in any insurance plans. Paying out-of-pocket is a great option for people who want maximum privacy, confidentiality, and flexibility.

When you pay privately:

  • You don't have to worry about insurance companies limiting your care or dictating how many sessions you are allowed.

  • You also don't have to worry about a diagnosis being required on your records, which can sometimes be a concern for people.

  • Additionally, private pay means that your healthcare information remains confidential and is not disclosed to third-party insurance or technology companies.

Overall, private pay can offer a more personalized and tailored healthcare experience.

FSA/HSA

Therapy is a covered service when using a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Savings Account (FSA) which is pre-taxed income and can reduce the overall cost of therapy.

PPO Insurance

If you have a PPO insurance plan, I am considered an out-of-network provider and can provide a monthly Super Bill statement and file claims directly with your insurance company to make sure you get reimbursed.

Not sure if you have out-of-network benefits?

  • What are the requirements to use the out-of-network benefits?

  • Is prior authorization required?

  • Is a referral from my primary care physician required?

      • Is a mental health diagnosis required for fee reimbursement?

      • What is the process for filing a claim and what forms are required for reimbursement?

Good Faith Estimate Notice

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Cancellation Policy

Scheduling an appointment involves reserving dedicated time exclusively for your session. If you are unable to attend, I kindly request a minimum of 24 hours notice for rescheduling or canceling an appointment. I recognize that unforeseen circumstances may arise, making attendance challenging. If you cannot attend a Walk & Talk session you can inquire about the option to meet virtually instead. If a session is canceled with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged a full session fee. Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated.
